What is rSign PAES?
PAES is the on-site module that captures the customer’s handwritten signature on a signature pad or tablet, embeds biometric data and applies a qualified timestamp.
Signature pad / tablet
Customer signs with a stylus on a dedicated pad or ordinary tablet at the counter.

How PAES works at the branch
Simple, familiar and fully auditable — designed for real banking counters.
1. Customer arrives
Clerk opens the document that needs to be signed inside the banking application and starts the PAES flow.
2. Face-to-face identification
Bank clerk performs the standard visual ID check or confirms the already-known customer according to existing KYC / AML procedures.
3. Document on the pad
The document (or signature area) is displayed on the signature pad or tablet for the customer to review.
4. Customer signs
Handwriting is captured together with biometric parameters. The data is cryptographically bound to the document.
5. AES + timestamp applied
rSign creates the Advanced Electronic Signature, embeds the biometric data and requests a qualified timestamp.
6. Evidence stored
Signed PDF (PAdES), biometric evidence, identification record and timestamp are securely stored for long-term verification.
PAES vs OQES
Both keep face-to-face identification by the clerk. The difference is legal strength and hardware.
